Overview

Two days on the water at Sataya Reef

Make Sataya an overnight experience rather than a single day on the water, giving the trip room for an evening at sea and an early start the next morning that a day trip simply cannot fit in.

After an early transfer to Hamata Jetty, the group boards, receives a safety and equipment briefing, and sails toward the reef for a snorkeling session in the same waters spinner dolphins use to rest. Lunch is followed by further exploration by Zodiac where conditions allow, then, as evening arrives, guests can enjoy the sunset, share dinner and spend the night aboard in a shared double cabin.

The second day begins early, with another guided snorkeling opportunity before breakfast, and continues to Abu Galawa for its coral garden and wreck area before the boat heads back to Hamata and the hotel transfer. Dolphins are wild, so sightings can never be guaranteed.

Overnight Sataya format

This is the two-day Sataya option. It adds an evening at sea, a shared double cabin, early second-day snorkeling and a visit to Abu Galawa before returning.

Why this trip

An overnight format with more depth

The overnight schedule gives this trip its distinctive feel: an evening at sea, an early start on the reef the next morning, and a different stop — Abu Galawa — built into the return day rather than repeating the first day's route.

That change of pace is as much a part of the appeal as the marine scenery itself, and it is worth being clear in advance about cabin sharing and the specific vessel arranged for a given departure. As with the day trip, a dolphin encounter is never guaranteed; the wreck and coral garden at Abu Galawa give the second day its own reason to be worthwhile regardless.
